Lamp intelligent products help with the launch of the S2 urban rail transit vehicles.

The first set of urban rail transit vehicles for the S2 line has successfully connected to the track at the Tangxia Depot in Yueqing and is set to be put into operation soon. This news has garnered attention and recognition from the media. The exterior and interior design of this train set won a silver award at the 2021 "Mayor's Cup" China (Wenzhou) Industrial Design Competition. Following the receipt of the project's order in June 2021, the company organized the research and development center's technical personnel to conduct discussions, analyses, and exchanges on the project based on the requirements of the customer and vehicle operation. In accordance with the operating conditions, environmental requirements, and technical performance of the products, they carried out development and research, overcoming various technical challenges. Through continuous updates and improvements, independently developed and manufactured products such as interior and exterior lighting fixtures, electrical control cabinets, driver's desks, undercarriage lifting boxes, LCU (Logic Control Unit), and intelligent train inspection robots have all been successfully applied in the vehicles.


The technical requirements for the overhead lights of the S2 line high-speed train, especially when traveling at 140 kilometers per hour, mainly inherit the performance indicators of the high-speed train sets, which are relatively high compared to general subway vehicles. Research and development personnel have strengthened the materials and improved the processes in terms of the design, production difficulty, impact resistance, span, and overall robustness of the lights. They have gradually perfected the design, resulting in energy efficiency, aesthetics, and stability. The unique design has been first applied to the S1 line high-speed train sets domestically. To further differentiate from the S1 line, researchers optimized the internal structure of the lights and added an intelligent dimming system to adapt to the characteristics of the S2 line, which has more outdoor elevated sections. This system allows the lights to automatically adjust brightness according to the external environment, achieving energy-saving effects, and has since been adopted on the S2 line.

The company has also invested a significant amount of research and development efforts in enhancing the innovative capabilities of the driver's control panel and the logic control unit (LCU). In the past, similar domestic relay box products have relied on imports. However, the relay boxes used in the S1 and S2 line train sets were independently designed, developed, and produced to meet the control requirements of the vehicles, achieving domestic substitution for imports. Additionally, the company has comprehensively upgraded the relay boxes and integrated them with the LCU, creating a more intelligent operational system to ensure a safer travel environment for passengers.

With the continuous opening of new railway lines, the traditional manual inspection mode will become increasingly difficult to meet future needs. Our company's independently developed intelligent train inspection robot can conduct track inspections, addressing issues such as human visual judgment errors, high labor costs, missed inspections, and safety concerns. It can intelligently assess the status of key components under the train, utilizing a multi-degree-of-freedom mechanical arm and a 2D and 3D image acquisition unit at the mechanical front end to achieve multi-angle detection, and relying on machine vision technology to analyze and determine target defects. Furthermore, the intelligent inspection robot creatively employs flexible scheduling technology, enabling multiple robots to freely transfer between different tracks to ensure the smooth completion of inspection tasks. This achievement will bring many conveniences to train inspection work.

In addition, the S2 line is the first in the country to use nickel-hydrogen batteries for its high-speed trains. Compared to nickel-cadmium batteries, nickel-hydrogen batteries are more environmentally friendly, safe, and stable. This innovative application not only fills a gap in the domestic market but also provides more opportunities for market development.

The inaugural train loading task has commenced, and the entire project has been fought for nearly two months, during this scorching summer season. Our after-sales service personnel, undeterred by the intense heat, have remained dedicated, working tirelessly in high-temperature environments of around 40°C to conduct debugging and installation for the S2 line's regional multiple-unit trains, investing a great deal of effort. This not only demonstrates the excellent spirit of our company's after-sales service team but also ensures service quality through practical actions.
